The Village at Nags Head is a richly landscaped, 400-acre ocean-to-sound community with a range of vacation rental options for every type of vacationer. This section helps you get an idea of the location, amenities and beach access for each of the 25 neighborhoods within The Village at Nags Head. Remember, linens, towels and pre-made beds are standard in all homes rented through Village Realty. Oceanside homes may or may not offer Village Beach Club privileges; be sure to ask if it’s important to you. Some homes on the soundside offer Village Beach Club privileges. If having access to the community pool at the Beach Club is important to you please check to make sure this amenity is provided at the vacation home you choose. East Side (Oceanside) of U.S. 158Ocean Watch (OW)Ocean Watch is on the south end of The Village at Nags Head, across N.C. 12 from the ocean. Renters and residents use the public Forrest Street beach access that is just across the street. The access has showers and the beach is lifeguarded in summer. Ocean Watch has a community pool for residents, renters and their guests. The homes in Ocean Watch are on the larger end (one has seven bedrooms) and are situated on a quiet street and cul-de-sac. Beach Haven South (BHS)The large, single-family homes in this neighborhood on the southernmost end of The Village at Nags Head are directly on the oceanfront, and each home has its own individual beach access. A Town of Nags Head lifeguard is situated just south of this stretch of beach at the Forrest Street public beach access. Some of these homes have private pools; some, but not all, may offer Village Beach Club privileges. Seaside (SS)Seaside is one of the largest neighborhoods in The Village at Nags Head, yet its streets and cul-de-sacs are quiet and not heavily trafficked, perfect for riding bikes and walking. The community is linked by a series of boardwalks that lead to the beach. Walking to the beach is easy from any of the homes in this neighborhood. The single-family homes vary in size and amenities, but most are large and can accommodate numerous renters. Behind a row of oceanfront houses, the other homes are situated along streets and cul-de-sacs. Some of these homes have private pools, and some, but not all, provide Village Beach Club privileges. Clubside (CS)Clubside homes and duplexes are direct neighbors to the Village Beach Club with its tennis courts, pool and beach access. Getting to the beach is an easy walk. These properties back up to N.C. 12 and the Town of Nags Head’s multi-use biking and jogging path. Not all homes in Clubside offer Village Beach Club privileges so check that with a reservationist if it’s important to you. Beach Haven North (BHN)Neighboring the Village Beach Club, these large, oceanfront homes in Beach Haven North offer individual beach access and may offer Beach club access. Some also feature private pools. Dolphin Run (DR)Dolphin Run is located between the highways, across N.C. 12 from the oceanfront near the entrance to the Village Beach Club. The community renters and residents have easy access to the beach at either the Village Beach Club (if their home allows club privileges) or the public Epstein Street beach access, which has a nice bathhouse and is lifeguarded in the summer months. The homes in this community are mid sized and offer nice quiet streets that are safe for children and families. Sea Pointe Duplexes (SP)On the oceanfront, Sea Pointe Duplexes are nicely appointed multi-family homes that have individual beach accesses. The neighborhood has its own community pool and tennis court. These homes do not offer Village Beach Club privileges. Atlantic Watch (AW)Atlantic Watch homes are next to the Village Realty check-in office and Nags Head Town Hall on the west side of N.C. 12. These homes have access to the ocean via the Town of Nags Head’s public beach access. These homes may offer Village Beach Club privileges. Duneridge Estates (DE)The oceanfront Duneridge Estates consists of 11 single-family homes and one duplex. These homes have individual beach access and may have a private pool or offer access to the Village Beach Club. Elliott Estates (EE)This strip of 17 large single-family homes is on the west side of N.C. 12. Beach access is a short walk down the multi-use path to either a public access to the south or the Village at Nags Head private beach access and bathhouse to the north. Parking is available with a parking pass from Village Realty. Duneridge North (DN)These upscale homes are on the oceanfront with individual beach access and they neighbor the private Village at Nags Head beach access and bathhouse. Seven Sisters (SV)This community, named for a renowned series of Nags Head sand dunes, is on the west side of N.C. 12 at milepost 14, the northern end of The Village at Nags Head. These moderately sized homes do not offer Village Beach Club privileges, but there is a community pool for all renters and residents to enjoy. Seven Sisters is within easy walking distance of the beach via one of two public beach accesses across the street or the nearby Village at Nags Head private beach access and bathhouse. West Side (Soundside) of U.S. 158Rental homes on the west side of U.S. 158 will require a walk, bike ride or a short shuttle ride or car trip to access the Atlantic Ocean beaches. While many of the homes are considered soundfront, they do not have direct access to the Roanoke Sound. However, these soundfront homes do offer spectacular water and sunset views. Many homes on the soundside offer Village Beach Club privileges, which include tennis, a community pool and beach access. Some homes feature a private pool and/or hot tub. Linkside (L)Linkside’s smaller homes are tucked into quiet side streets and cul-de-sacs, some overlooking the golf course or a small pond. These homes offer Village Beach Club privileges. The Wedges (W)All of the homes in The Wedges overlook beautiful stretches of holes 13 or 14 of the Nags Head Golf Links. The three- or four-bedroom homes are situated nearby a Soundside Park and Pier that has benches, picnic tables, a dock and gazebo and kayak launch access. These homes offer Village Beach Club privileges. Saw Grass (SA)The homes in Saw Grass overlook the Nags Head Golf Links and the Roanoke Sound beyond. While there is no direct soundfront access, there is an unobstructed view of the water and the sunset. Many of these homes offer Village Beach Club privileges. Reflections (RF)Reflections overlooks Hole 17 and the Roanoke Sound in the distance. It is within walking distance of the Soundside Park and Pier and offers Village Beach Club privileges. Captain’s Watch (CW)Captain’s Watch is a tight-knit community of both vacation homes and duplexes where many year-round residents live too. Rental homes here offer Village Beach Club privileges. The Soundside Park and Pier is within walking or biking distance. Homes overlook Nags Head Golf Links and some offer views of the sound. Please note that parking is limited in this community. Please call and inquire about specific limitations for each vacation property. The Masters (MS)The ample homes (four to six bedrooms) in this community are situated on quiet side streets and cul-de-sacs. Some homes overlook the Nags Head Golf Links and the Roanoke Sound beyond. Many vacation rental homes in this neighborhood offer Village Beach Club privileges. Sunset Greens (SG)Sunset Greens homes offer fantastic views of the Nags Head Golf Links and the Roanoke Sound and sunsets. The neighborhood is directly next door to the golf club and Players Grill, making it the perfect location for avid golfers. Village Beach Club privileges are included. The Ridges (R)This community boasts some of the highest elevations in The Village at Nags Head, offering some homes the benefit of sound views even though this is an interior neighborhood. The homes in The Ridges are smaller, typically three to four bedrooms. Some homes overlook Nags Head Golf Links. Homes offer Village Beach Club privileges. Sea Watch (SW)Sea Watch homes are larger, ranging from five to eight bedrooms, and are situated high on a ridge that overlooks the Nags Head Golf Links and/or practice range. Some homes offer a sound or ocean view. The golf club and Players Grill are within easy walking distance. These homes offer Village Beach Club privileges. Marsh Links (ML)Marsh Links homes overlook the Nags Head Golf Links and are situated along a quiet road. The smaller homes – three bedrooms – offer Village Beach Club privileges. Water’s Edge (WE)The five- and six-bedroom houses in Water’s Edge are situated along the quiet street that leads to a Soundside Park and Pier offering a dock and gazebo, small craft launch and a sandy beach area that’s perfect for kids. Many of the vacation homes in Water’s Edge offer Village Beach Club privileges. Leeward Shores (LS)Leeward Shores homes overlook Nags Head Golf Links and are within easy walking distance of a Sounside Park and Pier and sandy soundside beach. These homes offer Village Beach Club privileges. Baymeadow (B)Baymeadow homes, ranging from three to five bedrooms, form a quiet neighborhood of homes tucked into natural vegetation. Some homes overlook the Nags Head Golf Links or offer views of Roanoke Sound and the sunsets. Village Beach Club privileges apply. |
